# KAIOS Operating System

KAIOS Operating System, abbreviated KOS, is the formal operating layer for KGEN. It defines how player-facing interfaces, civilization data, economy state, AI workers, GitHub workflow, blockchain boundaries and audit records cooperate without relying on hidden chat memory or undocumented human habits.

## Operating Principles

1. Browser and Portal are entry surfaces, not authority.
2. Frontend is presentation and command preparation, not final execution.
3. API Gateway is the only future service ingress.
4. Service Layer owns domain validation.
5. Runtime owns state transition rules.
6. Blockchain is an external settlement layer, never an implicit database.
7. GitHub is the source of source code, WorkQueue, reports and review evidence.
8. AI Company proposes, reviews and coordinates; it does not silently mutate production.
9. Codex remains main-merge reviewer.
10. Human operators can pause, reject, re-prioritize and override.

## Forbidden in V10

V10 must not implement true bank accounts, true KYC, true fiat gateway, true token transfer, true MetaMask signing, true GitHub token handling, true contract deployment or production DAO actions. These require separate legal, security and human approval tracks.
